Benjamin Hough

Assistant Ecologist

Benjamin Hough is an Assistant Ecologist at Johns Associates, where he provides support to more senior colleagues in conducting protected species surveys and habitat condition assessments. After working with Johns as a VHW during the summer of 2024, Ben joined the team whilst completing his master’s degree, which he successfully gained in the summer of 2025. He has a particular passion for amphibians, especially frogs, which was the focus of his master’s research.

When he isn’t working, you can find him hiking, wild swimming, or spending time with friends and family.
