The Brief

GIS work supporting the Ecology, Planning and Landscape parts of the planning application submission for the development of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school within the existing grounds of Silverwood School.

Our Role
  • Produce a series of maps showing the landscape and environmental baseline of the surrounding area, displaying a range of constraints from international designations through to public rights of way.
  • Provide information for the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) part of the submission, along with the Planning Statement and Design and Access Statement.
  • Provide maps to show survey results and constraints, protected species license applications and mapping and data analysis for the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessment.
The Outcome

The GIS outputs contributed to a successful planning application for the development of a SEND school.
