The Brief

To provide planning and environmental consultancy support through the feasibility, technical assessment and planning phases of the proposals to provide and outstanding Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school within the existing grounds of Silverwood School.

Our Role

• Provide a multi-disciplinary project team to work collaboratively with the client, architects and external technical specialists.
• To produce a robust feasibility report, project risk appraisal, manage site constraints, prepare technical assessments, provide professional planning support and prepare a robust planning submission in accordance with policy and legislation.
• Continue to have presence on site as the project moves into the construction phase.

The Outcome

Existing contacts and relationships with the Local Authority ensured the project ran smoothly and resulted in a successful planning submission for our client that was supported by the public, students, teachers and parents to provide an outstanding flagship SEND school.
